Founded on the operational foundation of The Lerner Company, an active Midwest retail developer and brokerage since 1985, Lerner Capital Partners exists to bring institutional capital to a category where operating expertise, tenant relationships, and market intelligence create a durable sourcing advantage.

Our platform originates deal flow through active representation of more than 40 national retail tenants and forty years of relationships with Midwest property owners, brokers, and lenders. This deep operating presence generates opportunities that are typically invisible to institutional acquirers.

Andrew Lerner

Managing Partner

Andrew brings institutional real estate investment experience combined with a deep operating foundation. Prior to leading Lerner Capital Partners, Andrew held roles in institutional retail real estate, gaining acquisition, structured finance, and asset management experience at scale. He returned to Lerner to lead the institutional investment platform, translating four decades of operating expertise into structured capital vehicles.

Managing Partner

Jay is President of The Lerner Company and has led its retail development, brokerage, and asset management activities for four decades. Under his leadership, the platform has developed and operated more than 5 million square feet of retail property across the Midwest, with active representation of 40+ national tenants and relationships spanning generations.
